2011 Seminar Schedule of Weekends
Most of our work in the last few years has consisted of presenting our full certification program in a three weekend format – both in Palm Springs and various cities across the country. You can read about these below.
The first two weekends of each of our series can be attended by ANYONE interested in personal growth and experiencing the power of imagery for themselves. The third weekend is The Hands on – Practicum Training for becoming a Guided Imagery Therapist and can be attended by only those individuals who have completed both Weekend One and Weekend Two and wish to complete the full series.
Contrary to the fear of exposure in a group, this is one of the most positive aspects of all our seminars. Very quickly, a surrogate family and support system of caring and loving people unfolds for each individual. You will leave with a warm experience of love, sharing and camaraderie, and the knowledge that you are not alone in the world.
In Palm Springs, we will occasionally do a shorter 15-hour weekend seminar on a particular subject. The list below is just a few of the weekends we have facilitated in the last couple of years. Cost for these shorter weekends is only $295, starting at 7 pm on Friday night and ending at noon on Sunday. Snacks and lunch on Saturday will be provided. Call for information on nearby motel accommodations. Several motels in the area offer a corporate discount for Synergy Seminars.

PRIVATE THERAPY SESSIONS
Because of our travel schedule, we have not been accepting on-going, once a week type therapy clients as we did in the past. However, we have found that people have often asked for more intensive, short term sessions for a specific or immediate issue that needs to be resolved with imagery. These sessions can run from two hours to several days. For those who wish, we can do a couple of two-hour or open ended sessions in one day, with a break in-between. Both Patti and Chuck are available for this type of private work. We have hosted these on many occasions with powerful results. For those who have attended our weekends and watched an imagery demonstration, you know how much can be accomplished in a single, one-on-one imagery experience. REFINING YOUR SKILLS IN IMAGERY
A Weekend Seminar reserved for our graduates only – an experiential training weekend to refine and hone your skills in the powerful process of Guided Imagery
Two Dates – Two Locations
February 24-26, 2012 – Palm Springs
July 20-22, 2012 – Cincinnati, Ohio
This weekend seminar is open to only those individuals who have attended the three weekend seminars in the Synergy Seminars Guided Imagery Certification Program. To you, we provide this seminar to refine and hone your skills in this powerful process of guided imagery.
In the final portion of our certification program in submitting your journals, we ask all of you to give us ideas of how we could improve or change our program. We have received some great suggestions, and many of them have implemented into our current curriculum. Many of you who have incorporated imagery into your own private practices and healing work, have suggested that we provide an additional weekend open only to you, our graduates.
This weekend retreat would be a similar format as our regular weekends, but would be dedicated to more opportunity to refresh and refine your skills, forum to discuss some of your clients with suggestion of new approaches to use, and open discussion of some of your successes in using imagery, as well as some of your not-so-successful experiences. We all have those difficult clients that leave us feeling like we could have done the imagery differently or perhaps thinking where do I go from here?

The Palm Springs seminar will be held in the offices of Synergy Seminars, 441 South Calle Encilia – Suite 17. Hours will be 1 pm to 6 pm on Friday, 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
The Cincinnati seminar will be held at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, 3333 Burnet Avenue. Hours will be 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

INTRODUCTION TO INTRAPERSONAL IMAGERY
This weekend includes half lecture on the history and uses of imagery, covering its relationship to dreams, mythology and symbols, including the work of Jung and Freud. The other half includes actual experiences of six different imageries, with interpretation and class discussion, plus a one-on-one imagery demonstration. Most of the training of this weekend is the personal experience of imagery and its therapeutic impact on the participant, who can then apply these principles in the healing and counseling of others. This weekend can be attended by anyone desiring personal growth through imagery. 22 CE hours are available. Cost is $400. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH GUIDED IMAGERY
This weekend is an intensive experiential in two parts: Symptoms as Metaphor; Healing the Body, Healing the Mind and Healing and Reparenting the Wounded Child. Six three-hour sessions of imagery and group interpretation, plus a one-on-one imagery demonstration. This weekend is part of our certification series, however, it can be attended by ANYONE interested in imagery for personal growth, with a strong emphasis on physical healing. 22 CE hours are available. APRIL 26, 2011 – Palm Springs, California
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN IMAGERIES
This one-day workshop is a comprehensive, point by point outline of how to approach both group imageries and one-on-one individual sessions. Presentation will include tools to help separate the presenting problems from the real issue while doing an imagery, goals and intent of the therapist and the client, structure vs. an open approach, moving the imagery forward while following the client, and much more. This six hour workshop is a required class in the certification program, however anyone interested in learning more about guided imagery can attend. Class runs from 9 am to 5 pm. 6 CE hours are available. Cost is $100. Weekend #3
HANDS-ON CERTIFICATION TRAINING
This weekend is a hands-on training for creating imageries and becoming a guided imagery therapist. Participants will work as both therapist and client in one-on-one sessions, and also do a group imagery. This class is required for certification, and cannot be attended without the prerequisite of both the INTRODUCTION TO IMAGERY and PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH GUIDED IMAGERY weekends. 22 CE hours are available. Continuing Education Approval:
American Psychotherapy Association (APA) These programs are co-sponsored by the American College of Forensic Examiners International (APA) and the American Academy of Psychotherapists. The American College of Forensic Examiners International is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The American College of Forensic Examiners International maintains responsibility for these programs.
National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) The American College of Forensic Examiners International is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. A maximum of 24 credits are available for any of these programs.
Synergy Seminars is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, BRN Provider #10835; MFT and LCSW, BBS Provider #PCE 3151; Ohio Counselors & Social Workers MCSO30242, Kentucky Board of Social Work, Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors; Association of Professional Chaplains #06-1097, and CAADE provider #CP25 806 C 0510, and NAADAC provider #633, and meets the criteria for the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Cancellation and Refund policy:
Enrollment is limited therefore, full registration must be paid at least one week in advance. Visa & MC accepted.
Full refunds are given if Synergy Seminars cancels a weekend. There is a $50.00 handling charge if you cancel up to 24 hours before the course, or you can apply your registration to another weekend course without charge. No refunds for cancellations received after that time.
Seminar Locations:
For out of town workshops, locations will, of course, vary. All Palm Springs, CA events will be provided at the offices of Synergy Seminars, 441 South Calle Encilia, Suite 17, Palm Springs, CA 92262. Take Highway 111 through downtown Palm Springs to Ramon Blvd. Turn left on Ramon to the second stoplight, which is Calle Encilia. Turn left on Calle Encilia. Office is on the left hand side of the street about ½ block down. Sleeping room accommodations for Friday and Saturday night will not be provided by Synergy Seminars, however, call us for a list of local hotels close by, many of which offer “corporate discounts”.
